Merry Christmas Shaker

Good morning! Ardyth here with a simple but fun shaker card.

I started by trimming a panel of white cardstock with the second-largest Stitched Dot Rectangle die with my Gemini Jr. Then I placed the christmas tree die from Sweet Gingerbread Add-ons in the centre and cut that.

I've learned from past mistakes to stamp the sentiment BEFORE making the shaker, so I did that next. This sentiment is from Just BeClause and I stamped it with Catherine Pooler Rouge ink.

I blended Mardi Gras ink onto a panel trimmed slightly smaller than the white panel, so that when the sequins fall to the bottom, the tree will still be green (it is an evergreen, after all! LOL!) and I built my shaker with a piece of acetate and doubled-up foam tape.I filled it with as many green sequins as I could fit in!

To decorate my tree, I used red sequins as ornaments and 3 yellow sequins as my star.

I used white sequins as falling snow to add a bit of shine and interest to the white panel without distracting from the simplicity of this design.

The card base is white, blended with the same Rouge ink as the sentiment, for a perfect match.

Now. I need your opinion. I went back and forth on whether the sentiment should be red (as shown) or black? What are your thoughts?

Great shaker! I definitely think the red sentiment was perfect!
