Happy Birthday America!

Hello and happy day before 4th of July to everyone here in America!  Rosemary here and because tomorrow is 4th of July here in the US I decided to make a patriotic card using the beautiful Old Glory stamp set along with the Stitched Dot Stars die set.   I also used a Happy Birthday sentiment from the Happy Birthday stamp set.

I stamped the flag using Catherine Pooler Samba and Suede Shoes inks on white cardstock.  I then die cut the piece with the largest Stitched Dot Rectangle die.   Once that was done I placed the dies from the Stitched Dot Stars die set on the panel holding them in place with some washi tape and then die cut them.   The sentiment was stamped by stamping the happy birthday sentiment in Suede Shoes and then adding the America sentiment by masking off the top part of the sentiment from the Old Glory stamp set, inking it with Samba ink and then stamping.  The panel was then adhered flat to a light gray cardstock base and the stars popped up with varying heights of foam tape.  Love this clean and simple design!  Adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of stars and/or stripes.
