have a delightful day...

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone!  Rosemary here... yep... that's right I'm here on a Tuesday!  Tracey and I swapped days this week.  I will be back to posting on Wednesday next week.  Today I have a card to share that I made with two of A Jillian Vance Designs newest releases...Dear Daisy and Delightful Sentiments.

When I got the new Dear Daisy set I knew that I wanted to try some watercoloring with it.   I decided to use the larger three daisy image and stamped it in watermark ink on some watercolor cardstock that I had colored with a light wash of color.  Since I was a bit short on time (I started my card on Monday morning... yikes!) so I used my heat tool to speed up the drying process.  I applied white embossing powder and heat set.  Then I got to coloring the daisies.  I recently purchased some Gerbera daisies in a reddish orange color and so that was my inspiration for the flowers.  Once everything was colored and had dried for a bit I added some splatters of paint in a light brown and a medium brown.  Once the piece was completely dry I die cut it with a medium sized Basic rectangle die.   I stamped the sentiment on off white cardstock using Catherine Pooler Black Jack ink and die cut it with a Sentiment Strip die and then created the fishtail by using one of the Elegant Stitched Dot Edge dies (thanks for the tip Bunny!)  I created a frame around the image panel by using the largest Basic rectangle backdrop die and the second largest Stitched Dot rectangle die.   The I adhered everything to a kraft cardstock base.  I used the Mojo Monday sketch for my layout (just turned it on its side) I will be posting it there.
