Layered Mermaid Scales Coverplate

Good morning! Ardyth here with a sparkly festive card I made using the Mermaid Scales cover plate die.

This card came to me in a brainstorm - I love the look of those layered die sets that everyone (including me!) is using and I figured out how to achieve a similar look with one die!

I cut the cover plate from gold sparkle cardstock, white and a light red. I layered them up, using the stitching on the frame to help with the offset. I added a strip of white cardstock at the top and cut the excess off the bottom after each layer so that the panel would be fully supported. Then I laid the layered panel onto a dark red card base.

To finish the card, I added a sparkly Joy from Poinsettia Greetings glued to a circle from Sam E. Snowman which was glued to a Stitched Sentiment strip. I added some holly from Holly & Swirls for a pop of green.
