Hello and happy Wednesday! Rosemary here and as many of you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and so I decided to make a card in honor of that. Thankfully no one in my family has been touched by this horrible disease, but I have known several women who have bravely fought and won that battle. A Jillian Vance Design has several items in the store that are specifically related to Breast Cancer Awareness. I do not have any of them, but I do have the beautiful Flower Burst Cover Plate die and I used that along with Rose Petals ink from Catherine Pooler.
I die cut the cover plate die from some cardstock, removed all the little petals and then used the piece as a stencil. I applied the Rose Petals ink heavily to the center of the flower and then faded it out from there. Once that was done I die cut the piece with the large Stitched Dot Rectangle backdrop die. I stamped the sentiment (from a now retired AJVD set called Kelly's Hope...sorry it is no longer available.) in CP Black Jack ink and then adhered the piece to a deep rose cardstock base. I finished things off with a dot of Nuvo glitter drops in White Blizzard.
