Hello friends! Rosemary here with one final fall inspired card. This time I used the beautiful Bloom stamp set and a new technique involving alcohol inks and a special ink that was created to work with alcohol ink backgrounds.
I started out by creating my background using Yupo paper and this is key to being able to do this technique. Yupo paper is non-porous and for the technique to work the background must be created on a non-porous background. For my background I used orange, yellow, red and brown alcohol inks, the Ranger alcohol ink blending tool, felt pads and alcohol blending solution. I applied the alcohol inks to the felt pads, added blending solution and then pounced it on the Yupo paper. Once I had the piece to my liking I let it dry completely. When fully dry place the piece in your stamping tool, position the image where you want it and then apply Ranger's Alcohol Lift ink to your image and then carefully stamp it down on your alcohol background. Lift off the stamp and you will see that there is alcohol ink on the stamp. You can remove the background piece and then use the ink that is on the stamp to stamp on a piece of cardstock. Thoroughly clean your stamp once you are done with the stamping. Then take the alcohol ink background piece and a clean towel and dab off the ink that is left on the piece. Once you have all the excess ink removed buff the piece to reveal your background. To finish the card I simply die cut a piece of vellum with the small tag from the Minnie Pearl Tag set, stamped it with the sentiment from the Autumn Blessings stamp set with watermark ink, applied gold embossing powder and heat set it. I die cut my alcohol ink piece with the large Stitched Dot Rectangle die, adhered the tag along with a piece of ribbon I simply tied in a knot and then adhered everything to my card base.
