Good morning! Ardyth here with a quick tour through the pumpkin patch! I recently bought some Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils (we call them pencil crayons in Canada, so you'll know what I mean if I slip up!) and have been practicing on some of my favourite AJVD images (Poinsettia Greetings coming soon!). I love the look of coloured pencils - it reminds me of illustrations in children's books I had as a kid.
I stamped the 3-pumpkin image to the left side of my panel, put a mask over it, and continued along until it was full. Then I started laying down colour, starting with a pale yellow and working down through the oranges to an orangey-red.
Because I'm so new to these pencils, and because I'm no colouring expert, I didn't feel comfortable doing a video showing my colouring process, but I did do a 'slide show', so you can see how I layered the colours up and used shading in the shadows and 'nooks and crannies' for contrast and dimension.
I finished by stamping the sentiment with Midnight ink and didn't add anything else. I wanted to let the colouring be the focus of this.

Beautiful card. Thanks for the slide show of your progress!
Such a stunning card!!!
I think the row of pumpkins make the most beautiful fall card, love the impact of the simple masking!
