Hello and happy Monday! Lisa Hoel here with a pot of poppies project to share with you. I think these are a nice transition from summer to fall color-wise. The reds and oranges are so rich!
The little silver cup I found in a thrift store. I loved the wear and missing plating. I think it gives it character. The paper I used to cut the poppy petals out of is kraft packing paper that I sprayed with Distress Spray Stain (both sides) and a bit of Perfect Pearls. Having an underlying brown tone gives it a very fall-ish feel.
I made the stems with 24 gauge black wire, black buttons and the Eileen Hull Twist & Style Tool (more on that here). The stems just poke into a block of spanish moss covered foam I glued into the cup.
