I can't seem to stop playing with Distress Oxides on glossy paper. Kecia Waters on the blog today, sharing a couple of birthday cards as a result of this playing.
It is so much fun playing with Distress Oxides and water on my craft mat. I simply smooch the various colors of Distress Oxides onto my craft mat and spritz with water. I then take a piece of glossy cardstock and pick up the pools of color. I heat set the paper and then repeat the process of picking up the pools of color and heating until I achieve results that I like. Then I rub Distress Micro Glaze across the paper, and the colors become quite vibrant and bright.
I thought cutting some balloons from the results of my play would make for some colorful birthday cards. I used the AJVD Balloon Trio Die Set to cut the balloons. I arranged the balloons onto white cardstock. The various birthday sentiments from the AJVD Happy Birthday Stamp Set worked beautifully on these cards, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. A few white sequins complete the finishing touches on both cards. I just love the fun colors of these balloons! Makes for the perfect, quick birthday cards!
