Hello friends! Hope you are having a wonderful week. We will be into May next week and that means Mother's Day is right around the corner! I have a Mother's Day card that I made using some older (but absolutely awesome!) A Jillian Vance Design products: Blooming Rose die and Mother's Day stamp set.
As I thought about what I wanted to make for this week's project I started thinking about what dies I had not used in sometime, remembered the lovely Blooming Rose die and decided to give it some love. Then I remembered the technique called faux embossing. With that technique you die cut an image multiple times from one color and then adhere everything to a panel of the same color of cardstock. Thus creating the same type of raised image that an embossing folder would create. To be honest this is a rather time consuming technique, but one that provides a beautiful result. Once I had adhered all the roses I die cut the panel with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die. I die cut some vellum using the small die from the Minnie Pearl Tag die set and then embossed the sentiment from the Mother's Day set in white. I added some aqua/white bakers twine to the tag and then adhered it to the card using rolled up glue dots. Going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.
