Ardyth here with a card that shows that chicks aren't just for Easter! The Hey Chick Stamp and Die set comes with sentiments that will work all year round.
I started by creating my background on watercolour cardstock with the Chicken Wire background stamp. I heat embossed it with silver powder and then watercoloured it with markers in my favourite summer time colour combination. I did this by colouring a portion of each area with the marker and then adding water with a small paintbrush. This gives each little area some colour variation and interest. I left some areas white for some breathing space.
Next, I cut my chick from watercolour cardstock and coloured her with the same markers and water. Instead of die cutting eyes for her, I stamped the glasses and coloured them in to make sunglasses.
