flower burst birthday...

Hello everyone!!  I'm sharing a sunny little number that I made with the Flower Burst cover plate die and some yummy Bo Bunny glitter pastes!

I decided I wanted to use the Flower Burst cover plate die as a stencil, again, but this time using glitter paste.  I have several jars from Bo Bunny and two that I knew would work perfectly together... pumpkin and buttercup.  I die cut my stencil using the Flower Burst cover plate and then a piece of white cardstock using the Stitched Dot Rectangle die.   I used some repositionable adhesive to adhere the stencil to the cardstock panel and then taped the pieces to my work surface using painter's tape.  I then applied the pumpkin glitter paste to the center of the stencil and then quickly moved onto the buttercup paste.  This paste dries rather quickly so you have to work quickly if you want the two to mix together slightly like I did.   While I waited for the panel to dry (basically all day, lol!) I die cut the words happy and birthday from copper metallic cardstock and then from brown cardstock and adhered the pieces together.   I adhered the words and then attached my panel to a light yellow cardstock base.   I finished with a yellow enamel dot in the center of my flower.  If you decide to try this technique be aware that because the glitter paste is wet there will be some warping of the cardstock.  To lessen this you can try placing the piece once the paste has hardened between a folded piece of paper towel and placing something heavy on top.
