Hey y'all! Shelly, here.
Happy Friday!!
Today, I'm swinging in to share a Christmas card with you!
Now, if you know me, you know my style is usually clean and simple. However, for my card today I went with some layers. I actually layered things up so much that I even questioned if I should finish my card completely or not...I was totally out of my comfort zone. Though, I continued on and below is my end result...
Well?!...Layers, right?!...Even with all the layers I did, I still tried to keep things clean. (I had to add a little bit of the CAS in there. ;))
I started with my die cutting. Which I used the Fresh Cut Pine die with a dark green cardstock and a dark brown cardstock for the pine cones. Next I used the French Horn die with a gold glitter cardstock and for the bow I used red felt. After, I used the Poinsettia Greetings die with red cardstock. Lastly, I made a frame using the Stitched Dot Rectangle dies along with white cardstock. Simple, right?...
Once having all my die cut pieces, I assembled things together. Which in all honesty, it took me awhile to do so. I was trying to find that perfect fit, if you know what I mean?...Or perhaps I was just so out of my norm that it just took me that long! lol In the end, I finished things and I was pretty happy that I did. Though, it was still missing a sentiment. That's when I turned to one more die cut piece...I chose the Poinsettia Greetings 'peace' die and chose white cardstock. I wanted my focal point to be on the horn and scenery, so I thought the white peace sentiment would work perfectly. You can still see it but it doesn't take away from the scene. ;)
Would love to hear what you think?!...
