give thanks...

Hello everyone!!  Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the US I decided to switch gears and create on more fall inspired design.  I just love the Grand Leaf Trio die set and wanted to use it one more time.  I also used the Autumn Blessings stamp set, as well as the Leaves & Petals die set

When I started this card I had a different idea in mind, but it just wasn't working.  I think it mostly had to do with the type of patterned paper I was trying to use.  So I headed to my stash of patterned paper and found this very old Basic Gray (boy I sure do miss that company!) 6x6 pad called Serenade.   I had already used a little piece from the yellow polka dot paper so I used that to die cut the large leaves (from the Grand Leaf Trio) and then the smaller leaves were cut from the tan paper.  I used the creases that are created when you die cut the leaves to made them more dimensional.  I die cut another piece using the Stitched Dot Rectangles die set and then arranged the leaves on the panel so I could get the placement of the sentiment.  Once that was done I adhered the panel to a cardstock base and then arranged the leaves.  Finished things off with twine bows.   Can I just say that I absolutely love how this card turned out?

Beautifully modern card, Rosemary! Love that you used a bow with each grouping--wouldn't have thought to do that! BG did make wonderful papers--I have a lot of 12x12 sheets from many years ago when I had a store here selling them. You've made me want to try & make use of some! Happy, happy Thanksgiving to you & your family!
