Hello!! Hope everyone here in the US had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got lots of shopping done!! I have a Christmas card to share (no kidding, lol!) today that uses the Poinsettia Greetings stamp set.
I have always wanted to try coloring on kraft cardstock and so this weekend as I thought about what I would make for today's post I decided to give that technique a try with the Poinsettia Greetings stamp set. I stamped the poinsettia image multiple times on a panel of kraft cardstock using white pigment ink. To speed the process along I used my heat tool to dry the pigment ink. Since I had never done this technique I decided to keep things simple and I used Prisma pencils in two shades of pink, a golden yellow and a green. Once I had the images colored to my satisfaction I used a white pencil to go over spots where my coloring covered up the stamping. Because I wanted to keep the panel the focus of my card I stamped the greetings on vellum in white, then trimmed it out by hand and adhered using rolled up glue dots. Christmas was heat embossed in white on black cardstock, trimmed out and adhered with foam dimensionals as shown. Going to add this to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.

So pretty!!!
I really do love that stamp set & your card is gorgeous, Rosemary! The large word is so beautiful & your fussy cutting is perfect--really makes the card!
Beautiful card! I love the effect of color pencils on craft cardstock.
The colored pencils were the perfect choice Rosemary! I love how soft the poinsettias look and of course the vellum sentiment. This is a lovely Christmas card!
oh Rosi, what a beauty. I love the softness of this beauty and how you used colored pencils.
Such a gorgeous card, love the softness of it.
Thank you for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge x
