Beautiful Birthday Wraparound

Good morning! Ardyth here with a 'wraparound' card. I have been seeing more and more of these cards lately, where the design continues from the front to the back. Most of the ones I've seen have been side-folded cards, but I love a top-fold, so I thought about how to adapt the idea.

(back view)

It's really not different, as long as you think about the images you are using. Many of the wraparound cards I've seen have used scenes of houses or flowers on stems - for those to work, they would need to be around the bottom of the card - I just put my flowers along the side.

I created my stencils with full-page sticky notes (the whole back is sticky). With these daisy dies, you need the points between the petals to stick to the card base or your blending won't be clean. I used a clear acrylic block to rub over the flower centres and ensure the points were flat before I picked up my ink blending tools. Still, just to be sure, I worked from the outside to the centre of each flower, so that my blending strokes also helped to keep the poinst down.

I used mostly yellows and oranges with a pop of warm purple for interest.

When it came time to buid my sentiment, I noticed that the font of the new 'happy birthday' dies is the same as the 'beautiful' die from Beautiful Roses. I created a comma with one of the centres of the letters.

Here's a quick video:
