a simple birthday card...

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  I have a birthday card that is simple in design, but wasn't really simple to make, lol!   I used the newly released Happy Birthday {DIE} alogue word die.

I started the card off by cutting a panel of off white cardstock and then layering a strip of patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Hooray 6x6 pad on top.  The panel was then die cut with a Stitched Dot Rectangle die.  Once that was done I positioned the birthday die on the strip and die cut it from the panel.  Some paper from the pad was adhered to the back to provide contrast.  The word happy was die cut multiple times from more paper from the pad, adhered together and that is where things became not so simple, lol!  I actually had to cut more of the word because the first set I started stacking together got adhered crooked!!  Once I got them all stacked properly I adhered them to the panel.  I added a few enamel dots, adhered the panel to a cardstock base and I was done.

Beautiful font & so fun using all those papers together! Glad I'm not the only one who's had die cut stacked words not line up right!
