graduation thank yous...

Wow!! Here we are at the end of May!!  School is almost out and graduation ceremonies are taking place everywhere.  My oldest is graduating from my alma mater, Stadium High School, and I couldn't be more excited!  He is pretty excited to be graduating too... especially since that means he won't have to get up so early, lol!!  (Click here if you want to see a photo of Stadium and read a little about the history of one of the coolest high schools in the United States!)   My cards today use the new Bold Thank You die, as well as the Mini Graduation Cap die.
Stadium's school colors are blue and gold so I pulled out some blue cardstock and a brushed gold cardstock and die cut the bold thank you from each .  I placed the gold thank you behind the blue and offset it slightly.  It looks really cool in real life.  The cap was die cut from the brushed gold.   Originally I was going to just adhere the sentiment to plain white cardstock, but decided to go with white woodgrain.  I think it looks pretty cool.  The little cap was adhered at an angle so it looks like it is being tossed in the air.  The woodgrain panels were die cut with a plain Rectangle Backdrop die and then the gold using a Stitched Dot Rectangle die.  I have two done and many more to go, lol!  I'm going to add this to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.
