Isn't it fun to use images in a different, unexpected way? Kecia Waters on the AJVD blog today with a card that does just that.
To make this card, I used the outside layer of the AJVD "Swirly Heart Die Set" and cut the heart into a sheet of cardstock. Then, I temporarily taped the negative of this die cut onto a sheet of X-Press It cardstock. Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the button image from the AJVD "I'll Be Darned Stamp Set" designed by Becky Schutea many, many times in the heart. I then colored these buttons with Copic markers. I then removed the temporary heart mask.
On a strip of black cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from AJVD's "Kelly's Hope Stamp Set" designed by Kelly Klapstein with Versamark watermark. I added white embossing powder and heat set. To finish off the card, I adhered a clear button and some Baker's Twine.
