a patriotic birthday card...

Happy Wednesday A Jillian Vance Design fans!!!  Hope everyone here in the USA had a wonderful and safe 4th of July!!  Rosemary here today with a patriotic birthday card that I made using the star that was left when I created the shaker card I shared last week.
The new Stitched Dot Star dies are so fun!  I love the fun Morse Code look they have and I thought it would be fun to turn the star left over from when I made the shaker last week into a big balloon.  I pulled out the AJVD Happy Birthday set as it has happy birthday done up in lots of different fonts and it has balloon strings!  I die cut a small star from white cardstock and popped that up on the large red balloon.  Some Diamond Stickles were added to the white balloon for some sparkle.  After die cutting my white panel with a Rectangle Backdrop die I stamped the balloon string in grey and the sentiment in black.  After adhering the balloon I decided to add some Royal Blue sequins.  Once I started with the sequins I couldn't stop, lol!!   But I really like how it turned out as I think it looks like confetti!  The finished panel was mounted on a cardstock base cut from the same red cardstock as the star.   I have included a close up of the white star so you can see the Diamond Stickles.

Going to add this to the current Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge of red, white and/or blue.  I also going to add this to the current Inkspirational challenge of anything goes using red.
