Snowflakes on Glossy Thank You Card

Sometimes, it's just fun to play with your crafting stuff, especially when those temperatures outside plummet.  Kecia Waters on the blog today, sharing a card I made as a result of playing with glossy cardstock and embossing powder.

To make this card, I sponged the following Distress Inks onto white glossy cardstock: Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Faded Jeans.  I just love the vibrancy of these inks on glossy cardstock!

Then, I randomly stamped three snowflakes from A Jillian Vance Design's stamp set "Just Snowflakes Too" with white pigment ink onto the sponged panel. I covered the snowflakes with white embossing powder and applied heat. Then, I stamped two more snowflakes from A Jillian Vance Design' "Just Snowflakes Too" with the same white pigment ink, but did not emboss so that I could have varying intensities of white on the card.

I framed this snowflake panel with white cardstock, and tied a sheer white ribbon along the edge.

I cut a flag from A Jillian Vance Design's retiring "Banner {die}tails Nested Die Set" and stamped the sentiment from A Jillian Vance Design's "Frosty Stamp and Die Set" with Versafine Onyx Black. I attached the flag to the ribbon with an eyelet and black Pearl Pin from A Jillian Vance Design.

I then placed my snowy design on a white cardfront.
