Frosty But Warm Card

AJVD, Kecia Waters, snowman, sponging, watercoloring
It's Monday, again!  This week, I thought I'd make my own snow, since here in Ohio we haven't had any more than a trace.  I haven't had to shovel yet, and that's pretty much unheard of around here.  Kecia Waters on the blog today, sharing a card I made using AJVD's  "Frosty Stamp and Die Collection".

To make this card, I stamped the snowman from the "Frosty Stamp and Die Collection" with Versafine Onyx Black ink, and made a mask of the snowman using masking film. I also used masking film for the snow-covered ground, later drawing it in with a black marker.

I sponged the following inks for the sky: Adirondack Sunshine Yellow, Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Distress Ink Wild Honey, SeaShells Conch Shell dye ink. I added some water and spread the ink around with a waterbrush, also watercoloring with a couple of yellow Tombow markers.

I removed the masks, and colored the snowman with Tombow markers and Prismacolor pencils, and added some white dots and snow with a white Gelly Roll.

The sentiment, also from AJVD's "Frosty and Stamp Die Collection", was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.

The scene was framed in black cardstock, and placed upon a creme panel.
