Lisa Hoel – Thinking of You On Your Birthday

Hello, Lisa Hoel here with a guest post for November. I can't believe how quickly the month is zipping by! Before I start planning my Thanksgiving menu however, I want to share a birthday card I made for my mother in law. She is an animal lover so I know she will appreciate it:
I love all the little animals in the Towering Tree die set. I had fun populating my card. ;-) For the "leaves", I brushed glue on the branches and sprinkled on model landscaping foam I picked up from the craft store. I think it gives the card a really interesting texture.

For the grass, I used the Stitched Fringe die to cut coffee filters that I had misted green. I like using coffee filter paper for die cutting because it accepts color well and has the look of tissue paper but is much stronger. (Tip for the day!)

Thanks for stopping by today. Make some time for creative fun!
