Anchor....

Hello A Jillian Vance Design fans!!  Rosemary here on the AJVD blog today.  With Father's day right around the corner I have a card to share today that would be perfect for the dad (or any guy) in your life.  For my card I used the really cool Simply Said: Anchor stamp set.  The layout and inspiration are based on the current Fusion challenge so I will be posting my card there, as well. 


I started by hunting through my way too huge collection of 6x6 paper pads and found some fun papers from the Teresa Collins Family Stories pad.  I cut a piece of woodgrain just slightly larger than the anchor image, stamped it using very dark blue ink and then distressed the edges.   I love that the stamped image with a slightly distressed look to it.  A banner was cut from the anchor paper and another pattern used for the main panel.   After layering everything up I finished off the interior with a strip of the paper used for the main panel.  The sentiment was stamped in the same blue ink and then an anchor was stamped in red.   Here is a shot of the interior:

The weathered paper you stamped the fabulous anchor on and the paper with the tiny anchors bring your handsome card together perfectly!!
