Hello there! It's Lisa Hoel here with a guest post for you. I created a card that celebrates spring! Here in California spring is in full force. I hope those of you still enduring a bit of wintery weather will experience it soon too! I used the Wood Grain and Autumn Blessings stamps and the Stitched Fringe Border Die to make the grass on this seasonal card:
The lovely fairy image in the center is a free download from The Graphics Fairy website. That site is chock-full of fabulous vintage graphics you can use for all sorts of projects! Be sure to check it out.
Another tip I'll offer you involves an atypical use for a very common item you probably have in your kitchen right now. I used ordinary coffee filters as my material for cutting out the fringe grass! Yep, I sprayed white coffee filters with green mists and when it was dry ran it through my Big Shot with the Stitched Fringe die. They accept color beautifully and cut perfectly. You get a look like tissue paper but the filter paper is still strong when it is wet and doesn't tear like tissue paper does. Keep that in mind for future projects. ;-) Thanks for stopping by and happy spring!
