Last week, I told you we were having Indian summer and my penguin card looked rather out of place. Today, just one week later, this little snowman guy is smiling because it truly is frigid outside. Kecia Waters here on the AJVD blog today to share with you a card I made using the stamp set "In The Meadow" designed by Whimsie Doodles.
There are many images and sentiments included in this set, but I only used the snowman image for today's card. (I promise to used more in a future card, because I just adore this set). I stamped the snowman image from "In the Meadow" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers, and using a Memento Tuxedo Black marker, I drew a line for the snow-covered ground.
Using a designated paint brush, I "painted" rubber cement onto the snow and snowman. After the rubber cement dried and formed a mask, I sponged the following Distress Inks to create the sky: Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Faded Jeans. Then with a rag, I rubbed off the rubber cement.
I added some flakes of snow with a Uniball Sakura white pen and with three snowflake charmes. I framed the scene with black cardstock, and tied a sheer white ribbon around the image panel. I then placed my creation onto a white cardfront.
