Kecia Waters here with today's post. Happy Labor Day! Today is always thought of as the unofficial last day of summer. I'm just not ready to say goodbye to summer, so I wanted to get out some bright, summer colors and have some fun. No need to adjust your monitors.
I decided to play with AJVD's "Frank N Candy" by Whimsie Doodles. Though it is traditionally used as a Halloween set, I thought the lollipops could be bright and colorful reminders of summer.
To make the lollipops, I stamped the lollipop image with a Kaleidacolor Melon Melody rainpow inkpad onto watercolor paper. I used a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to ink the "stick". I then cut around each lollipop. Then, I applied Versamark Watermark to the lollipop and added UTEE and applied heat. This made the lollipops shiny. I added a swirl of Crystal Stickles as well.
I cut a circle with my AJVD Circle Backdrop Die Set. I brayered Adirondack Sunshine Yellow dye and sponged some Distress Ink Wild Honey around the edges. I stamped the sentiment, also from "Frank N Candy" with Versafine Onyx Black.
Layers of white cardstock, yellow cardstock, and patterned paper make up the layers of this card. I added some enamel dots just for fun to complete the details of this card.
