Keep Calm and Shop On Card

Hi, it's Beth, and I'm back to guest design today!

I'm sharing a card made with the {Purse}onality 4 x 8 Stamp and Die Combo, which I completely love! The purse dies remind me of the handbags my grandma used to carry.

So this card was fun and easy to make - I'll give you a quick tutorial - start with 4 coordinating shades of cardstock (light, medium, dark and deep) + kraft. I I just bought a purse in this 'radient orchid-like' color!

  1. Cut 1 medium colored and 2 kraft cardstock squares to 2x2".
  2. Stamp the purse images twice onto medium colored cardstock, die cut both images. Fussy cut  to remove the handles on both, and then trim to keep just the top flap on the other.
  3. Stamp the phrase on the 3rd square.
  4. Mount the purses onto kraft cardstock, then light, then deep colored cardstock, using E-Z Squares adhesive. Do the same w/the phrase but without the kraft layer.
  5. Mount those onto a panel of the light, then deep, then dark colored cardstock with E-Z Squares, and add kraft Creative Photo Corners to the layer of deep colored cardstock.
  6. Mount the entire piece onto a kraft card base. (note that most of the layers are about 1/8", and the various widths help add dimension and accent the colors)
  7. Heat emboss red embossing powder onto 2 small 3D Foam Hearts.
  8. Carefully place them so they appear to be sticking out of the purses, one from the top and one from below the flap.
  9. Add 3D Foam Squares (I used black-small) to the purse pieces and adhered them to the card onto the original purse.
  10. Add bling!
