Hi.  Lisa Lara here.  I am new to AJVD. So excited to be here.  As a new illustrator to A Jillian Vance Design I get to introduce my very first set of stamps.  For these sets I did the entire set.  In the future you will see sets where I only design the images and Jillian will work her magic with the sentiments as well as full sets designed by me. Whoo-hoo! A dream come true for me.

Since I am new, Jillian and Bunny wanted me share a little about myself. First I am a doodler.  I was the girl doodling on her paper in class.  I still do that wherever I am.  So getting to illustrate stamps is a dream come true.

Probably Paper Tole (I just love dimension on my cards).

(These are my most recent discoveries) Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper by We R Memory Keepers and Fiskars Small Stamp Press 

FAVORITE COLOR MEDIUM: 

Copic Markers (yes they are an investment...I just love how vibrant they are).  I'm currently playing with Derwent Intense Colored Pencils (they are wonderful).

Okay so this first card I am using my new set {EGG}cellent.  I made a latch card.  I love making these. They are so easy and fun.  You just attach your frame to the top half off the gatefold with dimensional tape and attach the inside shape (my oval with my chick on it) with dimensional tape only to the bottom half.  It works like a latch. You can see by my photo.  On my designer paper I used  a new technique I learned EMBOSSING ON DESIGNER PAPER.

ACCESSORIES:1/16" circle punch, Brown Sugar Divine Twine (Whisker Graphics), Spellbinders Oval nestabilities, Cuttlebug, CB Embossing Folder Juli's Garden, Emery Board, Tim Holtz Sponging Tool, Dimensional tape

TECHNIQUES:Embossing On Designer Paper, Latch Card, Sponging

My second card I am using my other set FLUTTERS & FLOWERS.   I stamped my daisies on my white panel and also stamped them on scratch cardstock where I colored them with Copics, cut them out and adhered them to my daisies I colored on the card with a rolled up glue dot for a little dimension.  Then I added glitter glue and glossy accents.

Hi True (AKA Trudy Sjolander) here.

I met my fried Lisa Lara back in 2009 when we were both on the same design team. I have always loved her clean "Lisa" style. I can spot her cards in a gallery of hundreds almost instantly. When I became an illustrator, I was always excited when Lisa picked my images to create with. She showcases them  so beautifully! Though we are no longer on a team together, we are still very good friends (we call ourselves "sistas from anotha' motha') and still love using each other's illustrations.
I got to meet sweet Bunny and Jillian of A Jillian Vance Design at Winter 2012 CHA and liked them right away. We have kept in touch, and when Bunny told me that Lisa's very first clear stamps were going to debut at AJVD today, I asked her if I could surprise Lisa by creating a card to help promote the release.

It was a secret that Lisa didn't know about until now!

 SuRpRiSe girlfriend! :)
