Welcome back! I knew I wanted to use this beautiful Cardinal Die from the shop and I decided he'd be on a very white background but wanted it to still be have some interest so I decided to emboss the background and then layer it with die cuts that were all white.
I die cut the cardinal from Copic friendly paper and colored in all of the pieces. I added a little bit of black to the red feathers using a tip to tip transfer of black onto my red marker... I love this technique because you can add a touch of color without completely coloring over your main color.
I decided rather than a wintery sentiment, an encouraging sentiment would be perfect. I chose one from the Bold Butterfly stamp set.
