vintage ornaments...

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Rosemary here today and I have a slimline Christmas card that I made with the new Vintage Ornaments die set.   Once, again, Jillian has packed this die set with all kinds of fun extras!  There are two sizes of ornaments and dies that allow you to turn them into shakers.  I didn't use the shaker elements this time, but I will in the future.

I found some vintage looking Christmas patterned paper and die cut two small ornaments and one large ornament.  In this die set there are little dies that don't cut, but allow you to add extra detail to your ornaments.  I used the one that makes an argyle type pattern on the small ornaments and the snowflake for the large ornament.  I then added some Old Paper distress ink to all the ornaments.  The word peace from the die set was die cut from additional patterned paper four times and adhered together.  I die cut dark green cardstock using the smaller slimline die from the Slimline Essentials die set.   The ornament toppers were die cut from brush gold cardstock and adhered to the ornaments.  I looped gold cording through the top of each, secured the cording on the back with tape and then adhered the ornaments with foam tape.  I adhered the word peace to the large ornament and then used a sentiment from the Light of Christmas set to stamp the rest of the sentiment.  I used Rustic Wilderness distress oxide ink to stamp the sentiment.  That was die cut with a sentiment die from the Slimline Essentials set, the edges inked with Old Paper and I adhered that to the card front.  I finished with the Merry Christmas sentiment (also from Light of Christmas) that I heat embossed in gold.  I adhered the panel to a dark red card base.
