you are my anchor...

Hello friends!  Rosemary here with a more masculine card created with the Anchors Aweigh 2.0 die set and an alcohol ink background.

When I first joined the AJVD design team Jillian had recently released a stamp set called Simply Said: Anchor.   That stamp set immediately became a favorite of mine.  A few years later she released a die set called Anchors Aweigh which included an anchor die that cut out the anchor in the Simply Said: Anchor die set.  I was so happy when that happened!  Now she has released the Anchors Aweigh 2.0 die set that includes a larger anchor die, as well as a smaller one.  I just love this new die set and had been wanting to use the large anchor die on a card.   With that in mind I created an alcohol ink background using blue and green alcohol inks, along with Sterling Alloy.  Once the background was done I set it aside to completely dry.  I die cut the anchor and the chain from silver metallic cardstock.  I cut additional anchors from thin white cardstock and then stacked them with the silver metallic one.  I die cut the alcohol ink background with one of the wave dies and then to give the piece a finished look I die cut it with the largest basic rectangle die.  White cardstock was also die cut with the same rectangle die and then I adhered the alcohol ink piece to that.  The chain was attached to the anchor and then I adhered the anchor to the panel.  The sentiment is from You Are My Anchor stamp set.  I die cut vellum with the smallest die from the basic rectangle die set, stamped it with watermark ink and then heat embossed in silver.  I adhered the sentiment by placing rolled up glue dots behind the embossed words.
