hello beautiful...

Hello and happy April!  Rosemary here sharing some products from the new A Jillian Vance Design release.  There are new mini slimline die sets, a gorgeous butterfly die and much, much more!  I'm using products that you have already seen... the Mini Slim Backdrop die set, as well as the Beautiful Butterfly die set.   The butterfly is so beautiful that I just had to use it!

I went monochromatic for my card, but honestly that happened because I was looking through my huge collection of 6x6 papers to find one that would be good for stamping the butterfly image from the Bold Butterfly stamp set on.  The first one I found was this pretty light blue grid paper so I went with it!  I stamped the butterfly on a piece of the grid paper that I die cut with the largest Mini Slim Backdrop die with a medium blue ink.  I then added a pretty light blue Nuvo drop to all of the little dots in the stamped butterfly and set the piece aside to dry.  Then I die cut the butterfly from the same light blue grid paper.  I was going to stop there, but then I decided to die cut the butterfly from silver cardstock and another piece of the grid paper.  I then layered everything together adhering the butterflies along the body so that there is lots of dimension to my butterfly.  I have a photo below that shows the dimension.   The layered butterfly was adhered after I added the main panel to a medium blue cardstock base.  I stamped the sentiment on vellum with watermark ink, heat embossed in silver and then die cut it down with a banner die from the Stitched Sentiment Quartet die set.  That was adhered to the center of the butterfly's body.   Additional light blue Nuvo drops were then added around the butterfly.

See all the pretty dimension?  I just love it!
