Hello, happy new year and happy Wednesday! Rosemary here with a card for Valentine's day. I know that Valentine's day is over a month away, but it isn't too soon to start making them, right? I had recently gotten the Grande Greetings Love word die and wanted to make a card using it. So I paired it up with the Slimline Heart Window & Words cover plate die set, as well as some sweet little flowers from the newly released Mini Spring Mix die set. This little die set is jam packed with all kinds of fun die cuts. Flowers, leaves and even a cute little flower pot can be found in the set. Can't wait to create more things with these dies.
I started my card by going through my stash of 12x12 papers and found a fun polka dot patterned paper. I die cut the Heart Window die from that paper. I die cut white cardstock using the Slimline Stitched Plaid cover plate die. I then layered those two pieces together using foam tape. I die cut red cardstock using the largest die from the Essentials Slimline Backdrop die set and adhered the layered piece on top. I die cut the Grande Greeting Love die from red and gold cardstock and then layered them together with the gold slightly offset. I adhered that to the card front as you set. I then die cut flowers using the plate from the Mini Spring Mix die using white and gold cardstock. I layered the flowers together as you see and adhered the flowers to the top and bottom hearts. I finished off the flowers with little gold pearls. To finish the card I stamp stamped the you! sentiment from the Make A Wish stamp set on white cardstock with watermark ink and heat embossed in gold. I trimmed the word out and adhered it to the panel. It was a bear getting a good photo of my card as we have been having really dark and rainy weather. Took several days, but I finally got a decent photo! Adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of something new as I used several new dies on my card.
