Be Merry!



You know when you have a plan for your card and it all goes wrong? No? You're lucky! lol! It happens to me all the time! Ardyth here with a fun Christmas card that started with a plan....

I had to adapt my plan a few times as I worked through it, to finally end up with this fun, happy Christmas card!

I started by creating negative masks for the Christmas Light Bulbs and blending inks through, leaving a big white highlight on each one, to give dimension and shine.

Then I used the positive masks on the lights so I could add a dark background. 

Then I realized that all the light socket-ends (what are those really called?!) were blended with the same colours of inks, so I tried not 1, not 2, but 3 ways to make them silver before I finally finished.

And that sentiment strip? Want to know what it's hiding? (*spoiler alert* - camouflage is a perfectly valid rescue strategy! LOL!)
