Well it works PERFECTLY as a stencil as does any of the AJVD Cover Plates with open designs ~ Dual purpose product! I use sturdy Kraft paper so I can reuse those stencils too!

National Coffee Day

Hello, coffee lovers! I hope you're having a wonderful day and are enjoying the National Coffee Day Blog Hop. Today I have two fun cards for you today!

You can find the Coffee Loving Cardmakers post HERE!
Each stop has a giveaway so be sure and check them all out!

Both of these use the Rustic Wood Slice die as coffee stains!

These are both fairly simple cards, but sometimes simple is better! I love the clean look of these cards.

Basically, what I decided to do was run my wood slice die through with a dark brown cardstock. Then, I decided to run it through again and just randomly placed the paper on the wood slice die to create these sort of abstract shapes that also look like coffee stains! It's so simple yet it looks so nice (if I do say so myself)!

I loved the concept of what I did using the first card and so I decided to try it again! for this card, I did the exact same thing. My favorite color combo is turquoise or aqua with brown, so I decide to combine those colors on a coffee card. I used my Headline Type die to cut out the word YUM! in both aqua and brown, then layered them to create the shadow.

JOLLY

Hey y'all! Shelly, here.
Happy Friday!

Today, I'm swinging in to share a fun and simple card with you!

I started with making my background. I used the Diagonal Stripes cover plate with red, green, and gold glitter cardstock. After I layered/overlapped them together so the red was on top and then the green and gold underneath. I did have to trim down the green and gold slightly so it wouldn't peek out on the sides. ;)

Next, I added my striped panel to my card base. Then used the new Headline Type Alphabet dies to spell 'JOLLY'. I used white cardstock and layered the letters three times. Once done, I added them onto my card. To finish things off, I added a couple green holly leaves using the dies from the Holly & Swirls die set. Simple, yeah?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Celebrate

Good morning! Ardyth here with a fun rainbow card, perfect for a birthday!

I started by cutting 2 of the largest Stitched Dot Rectangle dies. I used the Scattered Circles die on one of them, and I blended a rainbow of Copic inks on the other. Then I simply layered them up so that the colours are visible through the circles.

Then I took it a step further. I used some of the confetti from the die cut panel, and I coloured some with the same Copic markers. I glued them on top of the card to extend the scatter of those circles.

I stacked up 3 Grande Greetings: Celebrate and glued it on top.

oh what fun!

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone!  Rosemary here on the blog today.  Fall is finally upon us, but I have a clean and simple Christmas card to share with you today.   I used the little gingerbread boy and a few of his accessories from the Sweet Gingerbread Add On die se and a sentiment from the Just beCLAUS stamp set.   AJVD will be releasing new product and there will be sneak peeks all next week!  Check out the information at the end of my post.

I went through my stash of scrap cardstock and found a few pieces of a taupe-brown cardstock that I thought would be perfect for a gingerbread cookie.  I die cut the little guy three times and adhered all three together with AJVD Just Glue It adhesive.  I then used a Uniball white pen to color his feet and hands to look like white frosting and then used the pen to draw on his face.  I die cut his bowtie from dark red cardstock, his buttons from white and adhered with Just Glue It adhesive.  White cardstock was die cut with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die and then I determined where I was going to adhere my little guy and place the sentiment.  Once that was determined I removed him, stamped the sentiment in an ink that closely matched and then adhered him with foam dimensionals.  The panel was then adhered with more foam dimensionals to a dark red cardstock base and I was done.  Adding  this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.
