Watt's Next Grad?

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone!  Rosemary here with a graduation card that I created using the Watt's Next stamp set and the Light Bulb die set.

There is a graduation happening in my family this year.  My niece is graduating from the University of Washington, Tacoma on the 17th.   UW's school colors are purple and gold, but I decided to go with the school colors from my alma mater, Stadium High School.  Those colors are blue and gold.  However, the caps and gowns are usually a bright blue and a gold that is more in the yellow range.  I decided to go with dark blue and sparkly gold.   I love the clean and classic look of those two together!   The larger light bulb in the die set has an inner light bulb that is used to turn the large one into a shaker card.  Because I wanted to use the laurel leaves image I used the inner light bulb (if that makes sense, lol!).  I stamped the laurel leaves image in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink and the 2019 in Delicata Golden Glitz.   The bottom portion of the light bulb was die cut from gold glitter cardstock as was the side strip.   I used the Sentiment Strip dies to cut the white and blue pieces, stamped the sentiment in the Juniper Mist and then layered them together.  The Mini Grad Cap was die cut from the dark blue cardstock and from the gold glitter cardstock.  The gold tassle was trimmed off and adhered to the blue cap using AJVD Just Glue It adhesive.  I used the Just Glue It adhesive to adhere the gold piece to the light bulb as well as adhering the cap to the light bulb.   White cardstock was die cut with the largest Stitched Dot Rectangle die, trimmed down on one side and then adhered to the dark blue cardstock base along with the gold glitter strip.   The sentiment piece was adhered and the light bulb added with foam dimensionals.   I think this card would work perfectly for a guy or a gal and I love how it turned out!

Love that you used the more glitzy gold for your niece's special occasion! This is incredible and she's going to love it!
