Grad Cap

Hello, everyone!
I hope you're having a wonderful Thursday. It's crazy to think that I graduate from college in just two days! I thought it'd be fitting to show you all my grad cap that I decorated today! (Not sure why Blogger took down the quality of these photos!)

We weren't allowed to decorate our caps in high school, so I jumped on the opportunity to create a design for my college graduation. I chose lyrics from my favorite band, The Maine, from a song called Color. I thought about what quote I wanted for a long time, but finally settled on "Just trying to find some color in this black & white world" because I feel like it goes with my graphic design major. I created the design on Adobe Illustrator and then cut it using glossy vinyl on my Silhouette machine. After that, I used some transfer paper to make sure everything went on smooth. It was a little difficult because of the fabric on the cap moving around, but I think it turned out pretty nice!

After that, I cut a bunch of Daisies and Open Daisies in red glitter paper, black glitter paper for the centers, and white cardstock, and leaves in green glitter to tie the whole thing together. And after that, I attached them all with my Just Glue It glue! It was a little time consuming to create this, but I think it came together and it looks better than I even expected!

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on my journey throughout the years. I couldn't have done it without my family, friends, and all the amazing AJVD customers!

Don't forget about my graduation sale which goes on until Sunday! Make sure you spend $20.19 to get that discount, and use the code 2019MVNUGRAD at checkout!
