Happy Wednesday everyone! Rosemary here today with another card made using the new Dear Daisy stamp set as well as the Delightful Sentiments stamp set.
I don't often watch crafty videos, but recently I started watching videos posted by the amazing Kristina Werner. She posted a video on coloring images in a dramatic way using ZIG Clean Color markers. After watching the video several times I decided that I wanted to use one of the color combos she used to color the image I used for my card today. I started by stamping the image using VersaFine CLAIR Acorn ink on smooth bristol paper. I then began by coloring the image using the Carmine Red marker from my collection of ZIGs and clean water. A small amount of color is laid down and then spread out using the water. Once the first layer was mostly dry I added in some orange. I finished up by adding in dark brown to deepen the shadow areas. The leaf was colored with ZIGs in mid green and olive green along with a little bit of dark brown. Once the image was completely dry I trimmed it out with my detail scissors. The sentiment was stamped using VersaMark ink on vellum, embossed in white and then trimmed down. I adhered the flower to a kraft cardstock panel that was die cut with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle and then I adhered the vellum strip on top of the flower. I really quite pleased with how the flower turned out! Going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of bright colors.
