Happy Halloween everyone! Rosemary here today with not one, but two Halloween cards! While I was in the middle of making the first card I realized that I had not made anything with the fun Spidey Web die set so I decided to whip up a quick little card with that set, too. First up I'm sharing a photo of both cards together. I'm going to add these to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.
For the first card I wanted to use the Perfect Pumpkin die set along with some super glittery cardstock that I picked up a while ago. I die cut the pumpkin from orange glitter cardstock and the face and stem from black. I didn't just want to have my pumpkin sitting on something plain so I used the second largest die in the Stitched Scalloped Circle die set to die cut some black and white patterned paper to create a rosette. I then used my scoring tool to score the circle in between each scallop. Once that was done you use one of the score lines to cut up to the center of the circle and then accordian fold the circle. I hope to one day create a photo tutorial so you can see how it is done. I did the same thing with the second scalloped circle and then adhered the two together. While the rosette was drying I die cut the pumpkin, the face and stem and then adhered everything. When the rosette was fully set I adhered the pumpkin. Since the rosette was pretty fancy I kept everything else simple and die cut some white and black cardstock with the large Stitched Dot Rectangle die. The black piece was adhered to the white panel and then the sentiment from the Happy Halloween stamp set was embossed in white. Adhered the rosette and then added the panel to a pumpkin orange cardstock base. Here is the card by itself:
The second card is a nice clean and simple design done in black, white and silver. I die cut the spider web from silver cardstock and then several more times from paper and adhered all of them together. The spider was die cut from black glitter paper. I die cut white cardstock with the large Stitched Dot Rectangle die and then arranged everything so that I could figure out where to place the sentiment (from the Happy Halloween stamp set). Once I had the placement down I stamped the sentiment and then adhered the spider web and the spider to the card front. The whole piece was then adhered to a black cardstock base. A fun clean and simple card for Halloween! Here is the card by itself:
