Hello and happy Wednesday! Rosemary here and today I'm taking a break from fall inspired cards to bring you a little something from the sea, lol! I recently got the Sea Shells & Mermaid Tail die set, along with the Shell Yeah! stamp set and decided I needed to make a card using both.
As most of you know alcohol inks are all the rage right now and so I have been playing around with the small collection of inks that I have and created a couple of backgrounds. One background was created with blues and greens and one simply with a blue. I used the blue/green background to die cut the mermaid tail and some of the waves and the rest of the waves from the blue background. The waves die can be found in the Anchors Aweigh die set. After die cutting everything I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Stitched Dot Rectangle die and they layered up the waves by starting at the top. I laid down the blue waves and then adhered the mermaid tail. The rest of the waves were adhered and the excess trimmed off. I stamped the sentiment using black ink, applied clear embossing powder and heat set it. The piece was adhered to a light green cardstock base and I was done. The layout for my card is based on the CAS(E) this Sketch layout so I will be adding this to their line up. Also adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.
