more fun with the open daisy die set!

Happy Wednesday friends!  Rosemary here and as my post indicates I had some more fun with the Open Daisy die set.   In my last post I indicated that I was going to play around some more with the dies and see how full I could get my flower.  Below is the result and I love it!

I started by die cutting each daisy in the set four times from some very old patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.  Then I started creating my flower.  Starting with the four largest flowers I layered them together by slightly offsetting them.  I did the same thing for the medium and small flowers, as well.  Once they were all dry I created more dimension in each layer by lifting up the individual petals as well as scrunching them into the center.  I did the most scrunching on the smallest layer of flowers and then glued all the layers together.  Once the flower was completely dry I did some additional scrunching to the flower.  Below is a close up of the flower.  I then die cut a leaf using the Leaves & Petals die set.   Some coordinating paper from the My Mind's Eye pad was cut and the sentiment from the Pretty Posies stamp set was stamped using CP Black Jack ink.  That piece was adhered to a cardstock base and then I added the leaf and flower.  Some Nuvo Crystal drops in Limoncello was added to the center of the flower.  I used the medium and small flower centers that come with the die to cut the little circles that I then covered with Nuvo Crystal drops in Morning Dew.  Once dry they were adhered.

I just love the dimension in this flower!
