With Sympathy Card

AJVD, Kecia Waters, sympathy, Prismacolor pencils
I have always found sympathy cards difficult to make.  Kecia Waters on the blog today sharing a card that came together in a somewhat surprising, delightful way.

As I was looking at the leaf image from the AJVD Pretty Posies Stamp and Die Collection, I thought the leaf could possible pass as a tree in the distance.  I stamped the leaf image three times with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock, masking one of the "trees".  With a black Micron pen, I drew a very small line to extend the "trunk".  I also drew a hill.  Before coloring the trees with my Prismacolor pencils, I sponged some yellow dye ink for the sun.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and is from the AJVD FurEver Stamp Set.

AJVD Supplies:

I'm glad you came by to see this CAS card.  I hope it inspires you to look at your stamps in different ways.  Have a pleasant week.

Monday Smiles,
