Thinking of You

I've had these Pansy dies for a long time, and finally decided to put them to use - look how pretty they are!!

I Googled pansies because I wasn't exactly sure how to use each of the pieces of the dies and was so excited to see that one of the many (soooo many!) varieties combines two of my favourite Catherine Pooler ink colours - Flirty Fuschia and Limoncello!

I cut the pieces for the medium sized pansy (you get 3 sizes in this set!) from white cardstock and blended ink onto them. I added some Grape Crush to the Flirty Fuschia, to deepen the colour a bit and warmed up the centre of the Limoncello with a light touch of Tiki Torch. I blended the leaves with Grass Skirt and Lime Rickey. For the flower centre, I used a dark gray Copic marker.  I love how vibrant the colours are so I decided to use a panel that was part black, to really make them pop!

The word Pansy comes from the French penser - to think - so I chose the 'Thinking of You' sentiment from Bloom.
