Hello and happy 2nd day of May! Can't believe that it is already May... where is the time going? Lately I have been wanting to make shaker cards and have had several ideas as to how I can use A Jillian Vance Design dies to make them. Today I'm sharing one of the ideas I had that uses the PEARfect stamp and die set.
I'm still on my quest to use up my vast supply of patterned paper and making this card helped me make another small dent. I die cut a piece of paper with a small polka dot pattern in blue, yellow and gray with the tag from the Minnie Pearl Tag die set and then die cut the pear from the center of the tag. I then die cut a second tag from a coordinating paper as a backing for the shaker element. I cut some acetate and adhered it to the tag with the pear opening and then added thin foam tape around the perimeter of the pear to create my area for the sequins. I then added in AJVD sequins in blue, yellow and white to the center, removed the backing on the adhesive strips and then adhered the second tag to create the shaker. I die cut more coordinating paper using the second largest Stitched Dot rectangle die and adhered the shaker tag. I used up the final piece of coordinating paper by die cutting it with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die, adhered it to the card base and then added the shaker element. I die cut the word pear from blue cardstock and scraps of the patterned paper and adhered them together. The sentiment was embossed in white on vellum and adhered along with the word. Finished off the card with some paper twine in light gray.
