Watercolor Distress Ink Hearts

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Distress Inks, hearts, watercoloring
I just love the die cut heart that is in the AJVD Heart of Ohio Die Set.  It is a great heart to have on hand.  Kecia Waters on the blog today sharing a Valentine card.

I watercolored the following Distress Inks onto a piece of Canson Watercolor paper:  Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple and Dusty Concord.  I simply smooched these ink pads onto a piece of acetate and spritzed water.  I picked up these colored pools of water with an acrylic block and colored the watercolor paper, just moving color around and creating a watercolor wash.  Once dry, I used the heart die from the Heart of Ohio Die Set and cut eight hearts.  I loved the slight variations of color that I achieved.  I simply arranged them onto a white cardstock panel and adhered.  I added some sequins for interest and framed with black cardstock.  This was then placed onto a white card panel.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and is from the AJVD Simply Said: Moon & Back stamp set.

So glad you stopped by the AJVD blog today!  Have a very pleasant week!

Monday smiles,
