Sympathy Card

Hello, Lisa Hoel here with a card to share. I created this card for a friend whose mother passed away last month.

I wanted to make a card with a monochromatic color scheme. The card base is patterned cardstock I had in my stash (from long, long ago... ;-) ) I cut the shaped rectangle background out of white cardstock using the Elegant Stitched Rectangle Backdrop Die Set. I covered it with white crackle paste and then lightly spritzed it with Antique Linen Distress Spray Stain when it was dry.

The Fringe Flowers are cut from book pages that had a light coat of gesso on them. I like how the gesso gives them a crackly feel and strengthens the paper a bit. A few strategically placed white sequins add a little sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!
