flower burst thinking of you...

Hello everyone!!!  Hope you are having a fabulous week!!  Remember last week when I told you there were lots of fabulous new items in the AJVD store??  Well... there are even more in there now!!  Today I'm using one of those new products... the gorgeous Flower Burst Cover plate die.  My mind is swirling with all the ways I can use this die so you will definitely be seeing more cards using it from me!!

This card was a bit fiddly to make, but I think so very worth it!  I started out by inking up a piece of off white cardstock with Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide inks.  When I got a shade and fade out that I was happy with I die cut the piece with the Flower Burst Cover plate die.  I did have a bit of a problem keeping all the pieces straight, but I think I got most in the right spot, lol!  A second panel was die cut from the same off white cardstock, all the pieces removed and then adhered to a kraft cardstock base.  Then the fun (or maybe not fun) part began... putting all the pieces back into the openings.  I used Ranger Multi Medium (matte) to adhere each piece at just one point.  That allowed me to lift up each little petal slightly.  Once I got everything done I stamped the sentiment from Get Well Wishes in brown ink.  Probably should have stamped it before I started adhering everything, but it still worked out!  Going to add this to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of add a sentiment.
