Happy May! Kecia Waters on the blog today sharing a card I made using the AJVD stamp set "I'll Be Darned" designed by Becky Schultea.
I've had this card in my head for quite sometime. A few months ago, I was at a conference in downtown Columbus and saw this beautiful work of art by Harriet Keller Wise on display.
To make my card, I stamped the spool image multiple times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock. Some masking was required. I then colored the thread, base and background with Copic markers. I did a bit of shading with Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment, also from "I'll Be Darned" was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. I added a small button with Baker's Twine to complete the card.

I am so delighted that you took the time to stop by the AJVD blog today. Thank you!
On a personal note, I'd like to thank Jillian and Bunny for inviting my to be a part of the design team way back in February 2014. I've enjoyed my time creating with AJVD stamps and dies and hope that I've inspired cardmakers along the way. I have decided to step down from the team to free up some time in my life to pursue some other areas of interest. It has been an honor to create with your products and I wish you nothing but continued success. A heartfelt thank you to the Vance family.
With gratitude,
