You Rock Card

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Distress Crayons, resist, watercolor, guitar, bass
Seems like when I see someone do something great, a catch phrase of mine is "You Rock".  Now I have a card to give to someone the next time I think someone rocks, lol.  Kecia Waters on the blog today.

To make this card, I used some oldies but goodies from A Jillian Vance Design and tried to make a trendy card.  I started by stamping the AJVD "Musical Notes Background Builder" onto Ranger watercolor paper with Versamark Watermark.  I then added white embossing powder and heat embossed for a white on white look.

I then used Distress Crayons to add the rainbow of color onto the background.  I scribbled various crayons onto some scraps of acetate and activated with water.  I simply smooched the acetate onto the panel, somewhat controlling where each of the color went.  I set aside this panel and let dry.

Using the AJVD "Music Speaks Stamp and Die Set", I stamped the bass and the guitar onto X-Press It cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the bass with Copic markers.  I decided to leave the guitar white.  I used the dies provided in the set to cut around both images.

Using the pennant flag die from the AJVD "Mini Bag Mega Die Set", I cut a flag with black cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment, included in the "Music Speaks Stamp and Die Set" with white pigment ink.  I added white embossing powder to the sentiment and heat set.

I arranged all of the elements onto the card panel, and added a few random sequins for interest.
